Simone Stanley led the second cohort of high school students through her ThermoHUE educational program during the week of July 25, 2016. With two volunteers (Mahtab Waseem & Tariq Johnson), Simone spent four days at Friendship Public Charter School (FPCS) – Tech Prep Academiy, in Southeast, Washington, D.C.

On Thursday, July 14, 2016, Mahtab Waseem and Tariq Johnson (both rising Junior Chemical Engineering students) represented BEDD summer research in the poster session competition of the Washington Baltimore Hampton Roads-Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (WBHR-LSAMP).
